LAURA REA (she/her/elle)
STRATEGIC POLICY AND PROJECTS INTERN

Laura grew up in a small town in Ontario surrounded by lakes and forests, amongst a family and environment that fostered a great love of the outdoors and animals. She pursued this passion in her free time as well as through her work on farms, camps and outdoor centres.

Laura moved to Fredericton in 2018 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts at St. Thomas University where she earned an honours in Great Books alongside dual majors in Human Rights and Criminology. Throughout her degree, Laura became increasingly interested in rights relating to land, and how the changing environments individuals live in affect their lives.

A highlight of Laura’s last several years has been the opportunity to explore New Brunswick and its neighbouring provinces. These interests as well as her personal love of nature encouraged Laura to pursue work in conservation.
