Jim Goltz Talks Hal Hinds Forest

The wonderful Dr. Jim Goltz, longtime Nature Trust supporter and volunteer, recently spoke to CBC New Brunswick’s Shift NB radio program about our fundraising campaign to secure a new nature preserve in Appalachian Hardwood Forest habitat in the Woodstock area.

Goltz tells host Vanessa Vander Valk about the beautiful, rare and, in some cases, endangered plants of the Appalachian Hardwood Forest, how the property we’re working to acquire would expand an existing protected area named after our founder Hal Hinds, and shares some heartfelt stories about the late Dr. Hinds, a celebrated and charismatic champion of conservation in New Brunswick.
