  • Exploration of an ecologically significant Appalachian Hardwood Forest

  • A chance to reflect, brainstorm, and submit a name for the preserve

  • Light terrain with varied forest floor conditions

  • Unique plant species like painted trillium, yellow lady’s slipper, and ancient Eastern hemlocks

What to Bring:

  • Weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toed hiking footwear

  • Water, snacks, sunscreen, and bug spray

  • A notebook or phone to jot down ideas and inspiration
