MORGANE BONAMY
DIRECTOR

I hold a doctorate in Cultural Geography from the University of Montreal (QC) and a master's degree in Biodiversity Management and Conservation from the University of Montpellier II (France). My research has primarily focused on understanding the perceptions and values people hold regarding nature and wildlife, most recently wolverines.

After commencing my career in Ecology, I developed an appreciation for Human Dimensions and its role in contributing to the enhanced protection of biodiversity across various scales. This realization motivated me to shift my career in the direction of bridging the gap between ecological research and human perspectives.

An avid outdoor enthusiast, I find joy in activities such as hiking and camping. I love setting personal goals such hiking a certain number of peaks in a day or spotting various animals on a canoe trip. Such goals fuel my passion for exploration and connection with nature.

For the past two years, I have been a resident of New Brunswick, residing in Dieppe with my family and four feline companions. I have previously worked as the Conservation Program Coordinator at Fundy Biosphere where I can follow my passion of fostering a harmonious relationship between humanity and the natural world. Currently, I am the Executive Director at The Salon du livre de Dieppe.
