Join the Nature Trust of New Brunswick for a Forested Wetlands Workshop in St. Stephen. This engaging day-long event begins in the morning with an indoor learning session, followed by a field component at a privately-owned forest within 30 minutes of St. Stephen in the afternoon.
This event is part of the Stewarding Forested Wetlands workshop series, hosted by the Nature Trust of New Brunswick and supported by the Environmental Trust Fund (ETF). Designed for private woodlot owners and conservation partners, the workshop will deliver essential knowledge on the ecological, regulatory, and cultural value of forested wetlands in New Brunswick.
Participants will explore the importance of these ecosystems, build hands-on identification skills, and learn how to support local conservation efforts. The afternoon will include a collaborative walk-and-talk, offering space to share perspectives and connect with landholders and experts in a meaningful natural setting.
Note: The forest walk will proceed only if the provincial fire risk levels are lowered.
