Sydney is a Strategic Policy and Projects Intern at the Nature Trust as she finishes her law degree at the University of New Brunswick. 

Raised in Calgary, Alta., Sydney earned her Bachelor of Science in psychology at the University of Victoria, where her passion for nature and interest in intersectional environmental action grew. She is particularly interested in legal approaches to environmental protection and finding solutions that benefit both the environment and the people who live and work on the land. 

In her free time, Sydney enjoys running, searching for treasures at thrift stores, and watching sad movies. She hopes to continue working in the environmental field after graduating law school, with aspirations of becoming an environmental and human rights lawyer.
