KIM JENSEN
DIRECTOR
Kim grew up outside of Florenceville were she ran wild through the family woodlot and the neighbour’s pasture land. After finishing high school, she completed a BA in International Relations, and an LLB, both at UNB.
After a stint practicing Criminal Defense law, she moved back to Carleton County where she worked for McCain Foods for 16 years and then decided to go into semi-retirement, get a little part-time job, and teach music. This life of leisure was interrupted when she received a telephone call offering her a position as General Manager of the Carleton Victoria Forest Products Marketing Board. It didn’t take long to realize that she was in a rapidly evolving environment and that Marketing Boards were transitioning to become multiservice organizations offer an entire suite of services to woodlot owners, as well as providing benefits to complementary organizations.
Kim still enjoys treks through the woods. She climbs Mt. Carleton almost every year. She walks the local parts of the Canada trail often, and enjoys making music in the community.
