ABBIE GINGLES (she/her/elle)
STEWARDSHIP FIELD TECHNICIAN
As a native New Brunswicker, Abbie grew up exploring local landscapes and getting involved in nature stewardship from a young age. She majored in Biology and Environmental Science in Halifax and took a particular interest in bird conservation. This avian work took her to projects in Toronto, Shepody, N.B., and all over the backcountry of Newfoundland and Labrador.
In addition to field work, Abbie combined her love of the outdoors with science communication and has worked with various nature interpretation centers engaging people in their own stewardship journey and sparking curiosity about the nature around them.
In her free time, Abbie enjoys birding, reading, traveling, knitting, hiking, and cooking for friends and family. She is excited to join the team at Nature Trust New Brunswick as a Field Tech and learn new skills on land stewardship/management!
