Description: Help restore the coastal ecosystem by participating in this cleanup at the Caughey-Taylor Nature Preserve! - in partnership with Nature NB.
The Caughey-Taylor Nature Preserve is 240 hectares (600 acres), stretching along Taggart’s Brook and marsh, surrounding Sam Orr’s Pond, to Birch Cove and Berry Point. It is located in Bocabec, 12 km northeast of St. Andrews.
Caughey-Taylor is the only habitat along the Bay of Fundy where quahog (Mercenari amercenaria) are found and plays host to assemblages of plants and animals found nowhere else on the Fundy coastline.
At this cleanup, teams will work together to identify and remove debris along the preserve's shorelines. Participants should be prepared to collect garbage and do some bushwhacking.
