LOCATION: Connors Bros. Nature Preserve at Pea Point, Blacks Harbour
COST: Free
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Moderate, kid-friendly (ages 10+)

To celebrate the first installment of the Pea Point Gazebo Speaker Series, our stewards and staff will be removing invasive species from the nature preserve. Lunch will be provided following the speaker series and before the invasive species removal begins.

Volunteers will help to remove Japanese knotweed from the preserve to protect the native wildlife that inhabits this preserve.

PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING:

  • Appropriate work clothing;
  • Closed toed shoes or hiking boots;
  • Water and snacks;
  • Sunscreen and DEET free insect repellent;
  • Work gloves (optional).

HOW TO GET HERE: Participants will be walking a short distance to the nature preserve from the gazebo, which is located at 500 Wallace Cove Road, Blacks Harbour, NB E5H 1H7.
