BioBlitz at McWaid Lake

LOCATION: McWaid Lake Nature Preserve, Lakeville

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: All levels, kid-friendly

Join our staff, volunteers, and experts from across the province to identify the flora and fauna found on the McWaid Lake Nature Preserve, through a BioBlitz. We encourage nature enthusiasts of all levels to come and learn about the species found on the preserve and to try out your identification skills.

This event will also serve as the grand opening of this preserve.

PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING:

  • Appropriate clothing for the weather;
  • Waterproof hiking boots or rubber boots;
  • Water and snacks;
  • Sunscreen and DEET free insect repellent;
  • Field guide, notebook, and pencil or pen (optional).

HOW TO GET HERE: More details to come. The meeting location of the BioBlitz at the McWaid Lake Nature Preserve will be given to participants upon registration.
