Join our stewardship team at our newly acquired property, the Armstrong Woods Nature Preserve, for a boundary monitoring workshop. Participants will learn how to use a map and compass to locate the boundary lines of the property, proper techniques for finding old boundary evidence, and how to update current boundary markings.

No previous experience is necessary.

PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING:

  • Appropriate clothing for the weather;
  • Closed toed shoes or hiking boots;
  • Water and snacks;
  • Sunscreen and DEET free insect repellent;
  • Compass and notebook (optional).

HOW TO GET HERE: More details to come. The meeting location of the boundary monitoring workshop at the Armstrong Woods Nature Preserve will be given to participants upon registration.
