Bird ID Workshop

LOCATION: Odell Park, Fredericon

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: All levels, kid-friendly

We are seeking volunteers to assist in bird surveys on our network of nature preserves. Outdoor enthusiasts of all levels are invited to join this training opportunity, held by friends of the Nature Trust, experienced ornithologist Dorothy Diamond and the Fredericton Nature Club. This session will include an in-class portion as well as a walk around Odell Park to put the training into use and to identify the park’s bird biodiversity.


  • Appropriate clothing for the weather;
  • Closed toed shoes;
  • Binoculars;
  • Bird Field Guide, notebook, and pencil or pen (optional).

HOW TO GET HERE: Odell Park is located at 370 Rookwood Ave, Fredericton, NB E3B 2M6. Participants are asked to park in the parking lot and meet the Nature Trust staff and volunteers at the Odell Park lodge entrance.
