Monica grew up in Quispamsis, New Brunswick and is a recent graduate of UNB, with a Bachelor of Science in Environment and Natural Resources. She is working for the Nature Trust this summer as the Conserved Lands Technician and is enjoying learning more about preserving ecologically significant land in our beautiful province.
Monica has always felt a strong connection to nature ever since she was a kid playing in her back yard, building forts, swimming at the beach and skiing in the winter time. She now loves hiking mountains, camping, biking through the trails of Fredericton, and finding the perfect waterfall to swim in. Monica believes in the power of getting outside and how it can inspire us to appreciate what Mother Earth has to offer!
Favourite Nature Preserve: Ministers Face is Monica's favourite nature preserve. Although she has never actually visited the island, she has spent much of her life admiring it from across the Kennebecasis River. She hopes to kayak to the preserve this summer!
