Kelly grew up in a rural area of New Brunswick where she became passionate about nature, environmental protection, and sustainability from a very young age. She moved to Fredericton, New Brunswick to attend St. Thomas University where she is pursuing a double major in Environment and Society Studies and Communications and Public Policy.
She chose this degree to ensure that her future work will help the environment that she cares so deeply about. Kelly is in her third year of university and discovered the Nature Trust of New Brunswick through the STU Internship program, and when her professor and former president of the Nature Trust, Vince Zelazny mentioned the organization to her.
In her free time, Kelly loves being outdoors, enjoys photography, yoga, biking, and practicing a Zero Waste Lifestyle, by finding sustainable alternatives to every day activities. Her passion for the protection of the environment is why she is so happy to work with the Nature Trust.
