Endowments

1

An endowment fund is a type of investment fund which is used to help provide long-term funding to a charity. The principal is protected and only the interest from the investment is used.

The Nature Trust of New Brunswick currently has two endowment funds available to donors for contributions. There is the Millennium Fund, which provides long-term financial stability for the operation of the Nature Trust and to help the Trust fulfill its mandate. There is also a Stewardship Fund, which is used to help cover the costs of maintaining our nature preserves.

The amount that you contribute to either of the endowment funds is totally up to you. All that you need to do is print out a copy of our Donor Direction Notice (see below), fill in all the required information and mail the form along with your cheque or Visa information to the Nature Trust’s office. If you have any questions regarding endowments, please feel free to contact us .

Tribute Endowments

Create a Timeless Tribute in memory of a loved one or in honour of someone special. Join together with family, friends and others to establish an endowment fund, a fund that can be named for that special person. The cash you contribute is never spent, only the interest is spent annually in support of programs of the Nature Trust of New Brunswick. A named endowment fund can be established for as little as $50,000. Please contact us for more details.
