The Nature Trust of New Brunswick has established 33 nature preserves, conserving over 5,000 acres of New Brunswick’s finest natural areas.

Established as New Brunswick's provincial land trust in 1987, the Nature Trust of New Brunswick is dedicated to identifying, promoting, protecting and maintaining the province's finest remaining ecological landscapes. The Nature Trust acquires and stewards a system of nature preserves representing a diversity of ecosystems, and promotes in New Brunswickers respect for and knowledge of their natural surroundings.

L’île Long est la plus grande île du système riverain Saint-Jean/Kennebecasis. Ses majestueuses falaises, connues sous le nom de Visage du Ministre, hébergent des faucons pérégrins menacés d’extinction et des fougères rares. Les étendues des plages intactes attirent des nageurs et des fanatiques du kayak. De plus, un sentier d’excursion couvre la longueur de l'île.
