Work Day at Boars Head

On Friday, May 7th Renata and Jessica traveled to Boars Head with Ben
Woodward to lay out a trail system over the Boars Head property. It was a great
day hiking over the rocky ridges, and through the beautiful forests of this
property. The trail we laid out travels down through the land, reaches the
waterfront beach and loops around to join back up with itself. The entire trail
is about 1.5 km long and at times follows existing rough foot or game trails.

While hiking through the forests we ran into a family of five deer,
which surprisingly did not seem very upset that we interrupted their day.

We invite the public to visit the Boars Head property and hike the
trail for themselves. To find it, park at the Ecole Samuel-de-Champlain and
take the small foot bridge which comes off the track. Then follow the pink flagged
trail. Please be advised that this trail is still rough, and there are places
which are a little steep and which might not be suitable for small children or inexperienced
hikers. If you have any suggestions or have some input on this trail we'd love
to hear what you think!
